Sicily gives a fashion production something that is hard to buy anywhere else: range. In a single shooting day a crew can move from a limestone quarry to a baroque courtyard, from a salt flat to a volcanic slope, without a flight or a hotel change. That range is why agencies bring lookbooks and campaigns here.
The other side is logistics. A courtyard that photographs beautifully may have a 2.4 metre gate, no power for HMU, and a landlord who closes at six. We survey locations in Sicily for Italian and foreign productions and report on what is actually possible before your dates are locked.
When the schedule is tight, a studio removes the variable that ruins shoots: weather. Our sound stage at Via Naso 74 in Partinico has 650 m² of usable floor, air conditioning and vehicle access. It is used for still life, product photography, lookbooks and video sets, and it sits between Palermo and Trapani, so the crew can reach the coast in under an hour.
Slots are three hours, 250 € single or 400 € double on the same day. Still life photography starts at 18 € per reference with a minimum of 15, or 800 € per day. Details are on the sound stage page.
Private properties are the fastest route: an agreement with the owner, signed in advance, covering dates, hours and insurance. Public space, churches, archaeological areas and historic buildings owned by public bodies need an application to the competent office, and the time depends on the municipality and on the season. We tell you which case you are in before you book flights, and we file the paperwork.
As a rule of thumb: a private masseria can be confirmed in days, a public square in weeks, a protected monument in longer than that. Productions that start the permit process after booking travel usually lose a day or change the concept.
